About AutoFerret.comAutoFerret.com is the result of a technologist's frustrating search for a new family car. He was tired of having to go to 9 different websites each morning in search of a car and unwilling to become another dealership statistic. AutoFerret.com is a consumer meta-search site for vehicles: you can search many different websites at the same time. The inventory we draw from includes vehicles listed on major auto websites, online classified ads, online auctions, local newspaper classified ads, AutoFerret.com Private Party Listings and inventory submitted by registered dealers. In addition to providing the Live Meta-Search, AutoFerret.com also allows buyers to submit requests for vehicles that meet their specifications, using the Two-Hour Auction and the Meta-Monitor. Our goal is to match buyer requests with AutoFerret.com Private Party Listings. This service is free for private parties (not dealers). When a buyer submits a request, AutoFerret.com applies patent-pending software technology to match requests with listings. With offices in Bellingham, Portland, and Seattle, the AutoFerret.com development team includes students, faculty, and alumni of the University of Washington's Information School (iSchool) and Computer Science and Engineering Department. |
